Dr. Munir Gomaa is a compassionate and dedicated general dentist who was born and raised in the Chicago suburbs. He earned his Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from the University of Chicago in 2013 before obtaining his Doctor of Dental Medicine degree from Southern Illinois University School of Dental Medicine in 2017.
Dr. Gomaa’s background and interest in psychology played a major role in his passion for dentistry. Early on, he recognized the unique psychological and human aspects of dental care, particularly the importance of helping patients overcome fear, anxiety, and negative past experiences while building trust and comfort throughout treatment. He believes strongly in practicing trauma-informed dentistry and values the multifaceted nature of dentistry, combining clinical excellence with compassionate, patient-centered care.
Dr. Gomaa is committed to providing comprehensive dental care for patients of all ages, with a strong emphasis on prevention, education, and long-term oral health. Known for his calm and approachable demeanor, he strives to create a positive and comfortable experience for every patient.
Passionate about lifelong learning, Dr. Gomaa regularly pursues continuing education to stay current with the latest advancements in dentistry and modern treatment techniques. He is an active member of the American Dental Association, Illinois State Dental Society, and Chicago Dental Society.
Outside of dentistry, Dr. Gomaa enjoys hiking, playing drums, music, and spending quality time with family and friends.
